PHP Mental Health Program
PHP Mental Health Programs at Banyan Treatment Center
The Partial Hospitalization Program for Mental Health at Banyan Pompano offers patients struggling with mood and thought disorders the opportunity to continue receiving full-time therapeutic treatment in a less restrictive environment than our residential program. With off-site living accommodations, patients are transported to and from the clinical building every day, where they receive 8 hours of therapeutic programming 5-6 days a week. Recreational activities and outside community support groups are available in the evenings and on weekends, helping patients to reintegrate back to daily life while still receiving round-the-clock support from mental health treatment professionals.
Banyan’s Mental Health Partial Hospitalization is a step down level of care from either acute hospitalization or residential treatment (although patients can admit directly as well, should they meet medical and psychiatric criteria). Patients who are hospitalized for psychiatric emergencies are often in lock-down facilities, and are only there for a short period of time. This allows the patient to be stabilized, but doesn’t provide the in depth care that is needed to enter sustained recovery from a mental health disorder. While patients begin the process of individualized, focused therapy when they are in a residential setting (like at our inpatient facility in Boca Raton, FL, where patients live full-time while receiving treatment), continued care is often necessary to fully prepare the patient to transition back into everyday life. Our Partial Hospitalization Program is the perfect in-between step. It is at this level of care that patients are reintroduced to daily activities like food shopping, community support groups, etc. We have trained mental health recovery support specialists who are there to help patients as they learn these skills and build a strong foundation to transition back to their daily lives.
Key components of the Banyan Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program in Pompano Beach, FL include: medication evaluation and management, regular sessions with our board certified psychiatrist, group and individual counseling, 24-hour support and staff supervision and help with building life skills.
